When I was three years old I fell in love with ballet. My parents had recorded off TV The Nutcracker Motion Picture by Pacific Northwest Ballet and I obsessed over it. I danced around my living room to Tchaikovsky daily, and begged my grandmother to sew me a "stick out straight" tutu. I have never loved anything like I love ballet.
Now at 31 years old, I am still dancing, and it brings me a joy that no other art form can. My experience of class work and performing is a driving factor to capture the moments of beauty and hard work - to create something tangible.
Currently I am a performance photographer for Oklahoma City Ballet, I have also photographed for The University of Oklahoma Dance Graduate Association, The Norman Ballet Company, 405 Dance Company, Awen Academy of Ballet & Ballroom, and Encore Dance Competition. In October 2013 I had the opportunity to learn from renowned ballet photographer, Gene Schiavone, at his workshop held in Connecticut.
My wedding and portrait photography can been seen in Southern Living, Vanity Fair, Style Me Pretty Living, Bust Magazine, Mingle Magazine, Lemonade & Lenses, and Let the Kids Dress Themselves. I have traveled for wedding and portrait work to Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, New Hampshire, California, New York, and Texas.
